Generator Maintenance · Generac Levels 1-4 Certified
Annual maintenance that keeps your generator warranty intact
Over 3,000 maintenance visits in the last 18 months across Northern Virginia. The largest part of our generator business — and the difference between a generator that starts when the lights go out and one that doesn’t.
Why annual maintenance isn’t optional
Generac’s 10-year factory warranty — the most aggressive in the industry — requires documented annual service performed by a factory-certified technician. Kohler, Cummins, and Briggs & Stratton warranties have similar requirements. Skip a year, and your warranty paperwork stops protecting you.
Beyond warranty: a generator that sits for 12 months without service is a generator that may not start when you actually need it. Battery sulfation, varnished fuel, mouse nests in the air intake, corroded transfer-switch contacts — these are the things that turn a brand-new backup generator into an expensive lawn ornament during a Derecho.
Our maintenance memberships are flat, predictable, and structured around what manufacturers actually require — not arbitrary tune-up packages. Each visit is logged in our ServiceTitan system, and the warranty-compliance paperwork is filed on your behalf.
What every maintenance visit includes
Up to twelve verified checks per visit, scaled by tier — from the routine items to the real-world load bank test that confirms your unit can actually carry the load on day one of an outage.
Residential maintenance memberships
Three tiers. Choose by visit cadence.
Silver (annual), Gold (semi-annual), and Platinum (quarterly). The right tier depends on your generator’s size, fuel type, and how critical standby power is to your household.

Kenny arrived ahead of the projected schedule and got right to inspection of the electrical issue with the panel. He quickly determined that one electric lead coming into the panel was not making proper connection. He extended the cable and reconnected the panel lead. He double checked everything in the panel and confirmed the initial issue of intermittent connection was corrected.

Maintenance FAQ
- Do I have to be on a membership to get maintenance?
- No — we’ll do one-off maintenance visits too. The membership exists because most homeowners want the warranty compliance handled automatically, with priority scheduling before storm season.
- Will you service a generator you didn’t install?
- Yes. About a quarter of our maintenance customers came to us with a unit installed by someone else — sometimes the original installer is no longer in business.
- What happens if the generator fails between visits?
- Members get priority dispatch on warranty work and same-day service when we can. Platinum members get a direct line to a certified technician.
- How long is the agreement?
- Annual, auto-renewing. You can cancel any time before renewal — no long-term contract lock-in.
- Will my warranty stay valid?
- Yes, as long as your maintenance is current. We log every visit in our system and file the manufacturer compliance paperwork on your behalf, so the warranty paperwork is always in order.
