Our story
Benfield Electric was founded in 1968 by Charles Benfield, working out of his garage with a single truck and a single promise: “Do good work for a fair price.” Nearly sixty years later, three generations of family ownership later, that promise still defines how we work.
From a one-truck operation, Benfield Electric has grown to be one of Northern Virginia’s most established electrical contractors — serving residential new construction, commercial new construction (multi-family, healthcare, hotels, high-rise office, mixed-use), residential and commercial service work, and a specialty Backup Power Division focused on Generac, Kohler, Cummins, and Briggs & Stratton.
